Their distinctive collection or radios from 1980’s boomboxes, to 1950’s mid century modern radios, can be found on display through out their hotel. And in keeping with the theme, they even have a station to record podcasts.

Tell us the backstory of your hotel.

 

The PLEY Hotel is a unique and original hotel that opened its doors in September 2020. Conceived as a real place to live, the PLEY Hotel features a vintage and vibrant atmosphere inspired by the rich history of radio in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.

 

 

Can you tell us about neighborhood where the hotel is located?

 

The PLEY Hotel is located in the heart of Paris in the 8th arrondissement, on the iconic rue du Faubourg-Saint -Honoré and just a few steps away from the Champs-Elysées.

 

Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré owes its prestigious reputation to its abundance of embassies, mansions, luxury and haute couture boutiques, as well as renowned art galleries; they make it a crossroads of history, culture and elegance.

 

 

Describe the interior design and vibe of your hotel.

 

The hotel offers a vintage and colorful atmosphere in which the radio is one of the main themes and featured in many different ways. The works of contemporary artists such as Julien Nédélec, archive photographs from Radio Station Europe 1, old radio sets found all over France and period advertising posters pay tribute to the history of French radio, the greatest pages of which were written in the streets of this district.

 

 

Tell us about the rooms.

 

The large rooms of the PLEY Hotel do make all the difference. There are five different types of rooms, with surface areas ranging from 15 to 75m2, that will allow every guest, whether you’re a businessman or a long stay traveler, find the ideal environment to take a deep breath and enjoy a unique experience of Paris.

 

The generously sized rooms and suites are decorated in shades of blue, white, and pink and punctuated with photographs and advertising posters highlighting the history of French radio. They offer everyone a reassuring and delicate immersion in the world of Parisian’s music and radio.

The hotel's rooftop bar, open on sunny days and off-season for theme evenings or private events, will welcomes its guests for exceptional moments, with stunning views over the roofs of Paris and the Eiffel Tower.

Located on the top floor of the PLEY, with an exclusive private access to the hotel's ROOFTOP, the Penthouse is the perfect place to organize private events. Featuring a 40m2 lower space, a private balcony, and a private access to the rooftop, the Penthouse is equipped with all necessary facilities for organizing an exceptional event.

 

 

On the lower floor of the PLEY Hotel, the STUDIO, an intimate and cozy lounge decorated like a recording studio, welcomes you for your meetings and seminars.
